Suicidal Plants

Last night everything froze and one of the New Zealand flax appears to have committed suicide.

It’s quite sad really as it had survived several winters up on the roof at Chalk Farm. Coming out this morning, it looked as though there had been a fight with leaves strewn over the paving.

Poor thing seems to have thrown its leaves off similar to hallucinogenic hikers on Everest. That’s an extreme comparison but I’m not optimistic for survival.
