As we wandered around the streets of Battambang, we came across the Jaan Bai restaurant where we decided to eat.
The restaurant was set up by the Cambodian Children’s Trust and we felt it was a good cause to support.
I had discovered the national dish of Cambodia, Fish Amok which came in a variety of curried coconut sauces and was always delicious. This was no exception.

The Jann Bai brought the plight of Cambodian orphanages to our attention, a contentious issue where children, not technically orphans, are on the tourist trail for well-meaning westerners.
